Davvero molto carino, mi dispiace solo che con Tima...

Visto Metropolis, di Rintaroo: tema distopico trito e ritrito, però ben raccontato, con belle inquadrature, bell'uso dei colori, e una gran colonna sonora :sisi: non eccelle in nulla, ma è comunque un buon film

Dato il periodo, iniziamo l'infornata di film horror...

Visto Gli Occhi del Diavolo, su PrimeVideo. Carino, solito film "religioso" ma con espedienti un pò diversi dai soliti.
Se si ama il genere, vale una visione.
 
Proseguo la mia full-immersion di horror. Questa volta uno slasher dal titolo In A Violent Nature, sempre su PrimeVideo.
Lento ma con la giusta tensione, buon livello generale, budget bassino. Piaciuto.
 
Visto Deep Web, sempre su PrimeVideo. Uno dei film horror - se horror si può definire - più brutti di sempre.
E leggendo le recensioni in giro, ben poche devo dire, sono tutte da una stella. Assurdo.
Tutto bruttissimo soprattutto casting e interpretazione, davvero da film di serie B.

Talmente brutto che anziché sconsigliarlo, lo consiglio per "sfizio" :asd: tanto sono solo 82 minuti, garantisco che ne vale la pena.
 
Visto Il Clown di Kettle Springs, su PrimeVideo. Film del 2025 tratto dal romanzo di Adam Cesare Clown in a Cornfield del 2020.
Film che dovrebbe essere horror ma finisce per essere quasi una parodia, tra battute e scene quasi demenziali. Un teen-horror che mi ha ricordato molto la serie tv Piccoli Brividi, piuttosto che un film serio ed adulto.
Alcune trovate hanno rovinato il film, finale abbastanza scadente.
 
Visto Halloween Park, su PrimeVideo. Filmetto teen-horror scandinavo, davvero dimenticabile.
 
Visto Terrifier 3. Se piace il genere, anche a questo giro non si può che rimanere soddisfatti.
E finalmente dopo anni di nullità in fatto di horror, abbiamo Art il Clown, che sta diventando persino un fenomeno pop di massa al pari di Jason, Freddy e Michael Myers.
Film e in generale, serie, che consiglio altamente.
 
Visto The Lost Bus, mi sono lasciato fregare dai punteggioni che ha evidentemente solo perchè è tratto da una storia vera, film veramente lento e noioso, prevedibile dall'inizio alla fine, girato da cani, ogni scena d'azione se avessi tenuto io la telecamera veniva meglio.
 
Beau is afraid, Ari Aster.

Seconda visione che conferma la prima, un gran bel film. Unica pecca forse, a mio parere, è che all'ultimo atto si arriva un po' stanchi. Però il primo tutti e quattro gli atti sono grandiosi, una messa in scena incredibile, ansia e stress a mille.

Dato che stai vedendo Horror su Prime Video vorrei consigliarti, se non l'hai già visto, "When Evil Lurks". È uno dei migliori Horror presenti sulla piattaforma :sisi:

Sono al Tokyo International film festival, Chatrian è il presidente di giuria, la selezione è fatta da un certo tizio giapponese e mi pare che ci sia solo roba commerciale. Fra l'altro non esistono spazi sociali in questo festival, niente a che vedere con i festival europe in cui sono stato, in linea con il rinomato stile Giapponese direi... Ho visto tre film fino ad adesso, uno peggio dell'altro, oggi ho ridimensionato il programma guardando i trailer, ne vedrò uno al giorno e non mi aspetto più di tanto. Li commento in inglese per favore un po' più veloce che ho poco tempo :(
Vedendo un intervista scopro anche che è Chatrian che ha lanciato Happy Hours di Hamaguchi. Il diavolo sta nel dettaglio...

Mother Bhumi, Keat Aun Chong (2025)
I particularly disliked the very rhetorical and then forgivable conflict that the main characters have with the State. Everything else, all the dreamy stuff, is a bit more bearable, just childish and naive writing as the daughter promptly explains "let's go to a place without hatred". Sure.

She’s Got No Name, Peter Chan (2024)
Says that there is more to women that this murder gossiped story but clearly not in this movie. Too fast too shallow too commercial and the history stuff doesn't work well.

Blonde, Yûichirô Sakashita (2025)
It tries to humanise the very heavy pitch story by saying it is actually about the guy struggle, then proceeds to spend the whole film following this very bare boned idea of social change which stays only on paper, perfectly encapsulate a rhetorical all talk desire for change of a society that actually has way deeper human reasons not to change. What's even more funny is that the guy story is even less developed this, it's like 3 short scenes max with his girlfriend that hasn't much going on in her mind either. Just not much to see here. I guess that the main school girl actress is very pretty and at least has a bit of a rebellious vibe on her face that does something related to the story.

Mother Tongue, Zhang Lu (2025)
The protagonist is presented as only caring about work and then moving to marriage talks as soon as difficulties arise. The whole film tries to find her a companion as boring and drained of energy as she is.
What an horrific activity scriptwriting is when it tries to portray the average development of the average, repressed and obedient fellow human.
At least it is a story so it's better than the other movies I've watched these days.

All Greens, Takashi Koyama (2025)
A collection of stereotypes glued together, there is no story to see here.
Japanese audiences are fed a constant stream of these pseudo rebellious tales in which nothing really exists and childish morals seal every possible opening. On a more emotional level the script completely ignores why its characters have so much difficulties in living and loving, an excruciating watch.

Bello, laprima partedi più, verso il finale cala un po ma nel complessomo mi è piaciuto molto.
 
Non essere cattivo, Caligari

Un genere che personalmente mi ha un po' stancato, tuttavia questo è fatto bene, merita la visione. Borghi e Marinelli incredibili.
 
Visto Dracula - L'amore perduto, Luc Besson (2025) al Cinema.

Carino, la componente Horror non è eccessivamente marcata anche se qualche scena violenta c'è, tipo...
La decapitazione di Maria.
Il film si sofferma di più sulla storia d'amore tra Dracula e la sua amata.

Alla fine...
Lui muore. Non mi aspettavo un finale così ma forse è giusto che sia finita in questo modo.
 
Ieri ho visto un bel film. Oggi ho skippato i tre giapponesi che avevo segnato per riposarmi e uscire per halloween. Domani vedo Lav Diaz per finire e basta, non vale la pena infligermi altro.

In Their Traces, Shigeru Kobauashi (2025)

Finally a decent film at this festival.
It shows a lot of things, most of them it cannot understand, which is still good since the solutions it tries to give are not fully developed. The people that got raped are in such a hard situation, there is one "professional" that gives the absolute WORST tools to deal with the traumatic memories, it's all about removal and lying to yourself, sickening. These people basically still dream of a normal life, which is an issue since so many aspects of the rape are complex to share socially. Nothing goes well in my opinion. One tries to organize food and friends gatherings. Another one gets closer to something that covers more ground, she wants to understand the rapists better, she organizes stuff and sees that there are all sorts of different stories and reasons, it's a good start but we don't go further than that. There are no tools or people for them to understand different desires, violence, sex, social judgements and such. It's impossible to overcome the trauma like this, it's brutal.
