[h=3]Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler Manga Gets 2nd Live-Action Season, Film[/h]

An event held at the Kaguraza venue in Tokyo on Thursday to celebrate the Blu-ray Disc and DVD box release of the live-action Kakeguruiseries announced on Thursday the franchise is getting a second live-action season and a live-action film. The second season will premiere on MBS and TBS' Dramaism time slot in spring 2019. The film will also premiere in spring 2019.
The cast members will reprise their roles for the second season of the series.

Kakegurui Anime's 2nd Season to Debut in January With Returning Staff, Cast

This year's September issue of Square Enix's Gangan Joker announced on Wednesday that the second anime season based on Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui manga will debut in Japan in January 2019. The magazine also announced some of the staff and cast.
Kiyoshi Matsuda (Kuma Miko: Girl Meets Bear, Rozen Maiden) is joining Yuichiro Hayashi as director for the new season. Yasuko Kobayashi and Manabu Akita are returning as writer and character designer, respectively. MAPPA is again handling the animation.

The following returning cast members have been confirmed for the second season:

Live-Action Kakegurui Project Casts Elaiza Ikeda as Kirari for Season 2, Film

The official Twitter account for the live-action Kakegurui project announced on Tuesday that Elaiza Ikeda will play Hyakkaou Private Academy's student council president Kirari Momobari in the show's second season and film.

Ikeda said that she has been following the original manga series since volume 1. She had wondered who would play the student council president in the live-action version, and was excitedly looking forward to finding out. She had not imagined that she herself would be cast in the role.

The second season will premiere on MBS and TBS' Dramaism time slot next spring. The franchise is also getting a live-action film that will also premiere next spring.

The cast members will reprise their roles for the second season of the series. Sayuri Matsumura joinsthe cast Yumemi Yumemite.

The official website for the second anime season based on Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakeguruimanga revealed a new visual as well as visuals for new characters for the anime on Tuesday.

JUNNA Performs Opening Theme for Kakegurui Anime's 2nd Season

The official Twitter account for the Kakegurui anime revealed on Sunday that JUNNA will perform the opening theme song "Kono Yubi Tomare" for Kakegurui××, the anime's second season.

JUNNA is part of the Macross Delta anime's in-story "Tactical Sound Unit" Walküre, the first major songstress group in the Macross anime franchise. She also performed the opening theme song for The Ancient Magus' Bride anime and the ending theme song for the Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King anime.

The tagline on the poster reads, "Even stronger than a joker, the high school girl," using the slang term "JK" (jōshi kōsei) for high school girl.
