The official blog for the Lupin III anime announced on Friday that the franchise will have a new theatrical anime film titled Lupin the IIIrd: Mine Fujiko no Uso (Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko Mine's Lie) that will open in Japan on May 31. The story is about an imminent crisis that drives Fujiko into a corner. The film is described as the third film in a series consisting of 2014's Lupin the Third: Jigen's Gravestone and 2017's Lupin the IIIrd Chikemuri no Ishikawa Goemon.

The current main cast members of the franchise reprise their roles for the film, including Miyuki Sawashiro as the titular Fujiko Mine, Kanichi Kurita as Lupin, and Kiyoshi Kobayashi as Daisuke Jigen.

Non ho mai letto il manga di Lupin ma se non sbaglio si differenziava dall'anime proprio per questi motivi, l'hanno fatto apposta per essere più fedele? Comunque bene, vedrò di recuperare tutto sperando mi piaccia lo stessoOttima, da vedere come gli OAV su Jigen e Goemon.
Non aspettarti, però, dei personaggi bonaccioni, visto che in questa serie sono tutti più "cazzuti" a partire da Zenigata che mi ha sconvolto per come è stato presentato in scena.
Ah, ed anche molta più violenza esplicita e situazioni erotiche molto più spinte rispetto al normale Lupin.

The new cast members include (Note: Character name romanizations are not official):
Mamoru Miyano as Bincam, an assassin employed by a company named Godfrey Mining. He has a mysterious ability to bend people to his will. His whole body, down to his mouth and nails, has been honed to be a deadly weapon, so he is usually kept restrained. This is Miyano's first role in the franchise.
Tomoe Hanba as Gene, a boy with a heart condition. In order to pay for surgery for his condition, his father absconded with $500 million worth of funds from Godfrey Mining. However, Bincam chased down Gene's father, and Gene's father blew himself up in desperation. As Gene is the only one who knows the location of the money, Bincam pursues him.![]()

The site also revealed the film's story, which follows Fujiko running away with Gene, a boy who holds the proverbial key to $500 million dollars that his father embezzled from a company. They are pursued by Bincam, an assassin who can manipulate people's hearts.
