La Obisdian è già al lavoro su un'espansione, di durata simile a Tales of the Sword Coast!

Pillars of Eternity comes out next week. I couldn't be happier; partly because I spent my childhood immersed in the Infinity Engine games, and partly because it means that we'll finally have some new bloody screenshots to use.In an Obsidian Q&A on Reddit, the Pillars team reveal what they have planned after the game has shipped. "We are looking at doing an expansion that's about the same size (area wise) of Tales of the Sword Coast," writes lead programmer Adam Brennecke.

"I won't reveal much about it since it's early in development, but we've already have a small team working on areas and environments while the rest of the team focus on shipping the game. We will announcing more things about it over the next few months."

Tales of the Sword Coast was an expansion for the first Baldur's Gate. It was pretty good—challenging, and with new dungeons, areas and a standalone story that had something to do with werewolves. If the Pillars expansion is aiming at a similar size, it should be a good chunk of new game.

Non penso abbiano dato una data per la distribuzione di key. Sarà sicuramente qualche giorno prima dell'uscita del 26 e magari sarà anche giocabile prima senza dover aspettare che venga sbloccato da steam.

Pillars of Eternity is an RPG inspired by classic titles such as Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment, featuring an original world and unique game system, Pillars of Eternity ushers in a renaissance for a much beloved style of role playing game. Funded via Kickstarter in late 2012, raising over $4 million through both backer pledges on Kickstarter and PayPal. Pillars of Eternity has been a project of passion for both the development team and the loyal fans who made it possible.

Pillars of Eternity is scheduled to launch next week, on March 26, 2015, and the game can still be pre-ordered until that time. Pre-orders also include two special in-game items: a Giant Miniature Space Piglet companion who will accompany players through the world of Eora, and the Gaun’s Pledge ring, which provides powerful support to heroes in times of peril. Avete idea di quale classe scegliere per il vostro pg principale? Io di solito nei gdr vado di ladro o stregone, ma qui in Pillars c'è una classe che mi intriga parecchio, il cipher. Pare che abbia poteri mentali di buff/debuff e charme, probabilmente punterò su questo per la mia prima run.

“But John!” you cry, “I want to watch them to get an idea of whether I want to buy the game!” Ah, well, like I said, I’m not able to tell you at this point if THE GAME IS REALLY GOOD or not. So you’ll just have to continue not knowing if IT’S DEFINITELY WORTH GETTING for a couple more days.
