ESO:TU will be available worldwide on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015, at 4:00AM EDT on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $60 USD/£50 GPB/€50 EUR(lol).
Do I have to pay a subscription to play the game?
No, you will not need to pay a subscription fee for the game itself, but you will need to have PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live to play the game. However, you can optionally pay for the premium ESO Plus service, which will give you a permanent 10% XP bonus, 10% Crafting XP bonus, 10% reduced crafting research times, a 10% bonus to gold gain, 1500 Crowns (The currency of the real-money shop known as the Crown Store) and free access to all released DLC as long as your ESO Plus subscription lasts. ESO Plus is not required for anything other than these bonuses, and you can buy DLC when they release separately.
When can I pre-load the game on to my console?
You can currently pre-load the game on to the Xbox One right now as soon as you pre-order. PlayStation 4 users will be able to pre-load the game from June 8th.
If I own the game on PC, do I have to buy a new copy to play on console?
Yes. Unless you bought the now-expired Character Transfer deal, you must rebuy the game for the full price to play on console. Your ESO Plus subscriptions will not transfer, either, so if you pay for ESO Plus and want it on console you'll have to pay for two memberships.
Can I transfer my characters from PC?
No, the Character Copy deal expired last month and is no longer available for purchase. If you did purchase the deal, your characters have been copied to console and they will be waiting for you at launch.
If I transferred my characters, will progress made on the console version carry over to the PC version, and vice versa?
No, all progress between the two versions are entirely separate. The copy officially occurred on June 1st, so any progress made on PC now will not carry over to console.
What do I get if I pre-order the game?
If you pre-order the game you will get the Adventurer's Pack, which contains the Scuttler pet, the ability to play any race in any alliance, and a set of treasure maps for each zone. Imperial Edition pre-orders will also contain this bonus.
You can buy the Adventurer's Pack from the Crown Store separately for 1900 Crowns/$19 USD.
Can PC and Console players play together, and can Xbox One and PS4 users play together?
No. Each platform will have their own European and North American megaservers.
Can I use my keyboard to type and play on console?
No. Text chat and playing with a keyboard will not be supported on the console versions of ESO.
Wait, there's no text chat? Then how do we communicate?
The game will have built-in voice chat channels. There will be a proximity chat channel, a group chat channel and a guild chat channel. Additionally, there will be a Quick Chat system in which you can choose from 22 pre-determined phrases such as a simple "Hi!" and "Want to group?". These phrases will appear to all players within range.
Will there be any major gameplay differences between Console and PC?
No. Aside from a redesigned UI, the absence of text chat and the inclusion of built-in voice chat, there will be no difference between the PC and Console versions.
