Arcade Standby Feature

In Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers‘s “Arcade Mode,” in which you battle CPU characters with the goal of reaching the ending, an “arcade standby” feature has been implemented.

By enabling this setting, other players online will be able to challenge you during Arcade Mode, bringing you back to the excitement and tension of the days other players would cut in for a fight at the arcade.

■ Network Battles

Ultra Street Fighter II supports both local and Internet battles. With local battles, you can use the hardware’s wireless feature to fight against nearby players. With Internet battles, you can participate in “Ranked Matches,” where your “Player Points (PP)” and “Battle Points (BP)” accumulate based on your wins and loses, or “Casual Matches,” where you can fight freely without the effect of points. In Ranked Matches, you can check your ranking based on your points and search for opponents under various conditions. It is the perfect feature to develop your skills.

There are four types of Ranked Matches:

Quick Match – Searches for players able to fight without setting any conditions.

Custom Match – Set conditions and search for a player that you want to fight against.

Create Match – Create a lobby where you set the battle rules and such, and wait for the players that you want to fight against to join.

Friend Match – Searches for players that you can fight against now from your registered friends list.

First, it’s now officially confirmed that Ultra Street Fighter II will have a new first-person mode. This was originally teased in the game’s debut trailer last month. It’s a unique game mode called “Unleash! Ha”DO”ken”, and is specialized for use with the Joy-Con controllers in a first-person view.

To further explain the name, “hadoken” is 波動拳 in Japanese. For this mode, Capcom has removed the 動 and replaced it with “Do”, making it 波Do拳. We don’t know how the mode’s name will be handled in the English version, but it’s almost like a neat little play on words.

A screenshot on the box has a timer and seems to show multiple Shadaloo Soldiers. This is speculation, but perhaps it’s a mode in which you hold the Joy-Con and literally shoot hadoken, sort of like a rail shooter.

The box also shows that Ultra Street Fighter II will have some sort of art gallery. Players can view over 250 pages of artwork.

Io lo prenderei unicamente per giocare la versione classica. Secondo voi si potrà giocare online anche con la versione classica?

I dettagli da Famitsu, via Hachima Kikou e Perfectly Nintendo

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will be featured in Famitsu this week, with various details about the game. The magazine will share some about a brand new game mode, where players get to control Ryu in first-person. It’s not clear whether Ryu will be the only character playable in this mode, but that’s certainly what Famitsu’s wording implies.

Thanks to the usual leaks, we already have some additional details about this mode, which sees Ryu fight off waves of Shadaloo soldiers. Players use both Joy-Cons to pull off Ryu’s signature moves (such as Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku / Hurricane Kick) The Famitsu preview below shows a screenshot of that first-person mode.

The Famitsu leaks also mentions two additional modes:

Gallery mode, with illustrations from the official artbook;

Color Edit, which lets you edit the appearance of your fighter. You can go and play online with your modified fighter, if you want;

a Practice Mode

Players will be able to strengthen their fighter using experience points obtained by progressing through the game.

Famitsu also reveals that development is 50% complete, which means the game will not be released before another couple of months (at the very least).
